How colour analysis transforms the choice of glasses into an act of self-care

The colour that belongs to you

When we talk about style, we almost invariably think of form. But it is colour that makes all
the difference.

Colour harmony is just the thing: the ability to choose shades that naturally enhance your
skin tone, eyes and hair. It is not a passing fad: it is a smart way of looking at yourself and
choosing what works best for you. And this applies most of all to glasses.
Because glasses are the closest thing to your face, they frame your eyes and can make you
shine or dim in a second. At Ultra Limited, we believe that every frame should communicate
with the person who wears it.

The new collection was also created with the idea of providing a palette of possibilities, each
designed to enhance a different season.

Undertone, intensity and contrast: the three elements

What is colour harmony and why does it change the way glasses are chosen

Colour analysis divides people into four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter,
based on three elements: skin undertone (warm or cool), intensity of personal colours (bright or soft) and level of natural contrast between complexion, eyes and hair.

You needn’t become an expert. You just need to understand one thing: when colour is in harmony with you, it shows. Your face looks fresher, your gaze more defined, your overall look more coherent. And glasses can do all this in an instant.

Spring

Glasses in warm, bright tones

Golden or peachy skin tone? A Havana frame is the ideal match for you

Spring has a warm undertone, natural brightness and light or medium personal colours. It goes well with sunny, lively hues that are never dull.

For this season, our ideal match is Acireale in Havana: a warm, golden tortoiseshell, rich without being heavy, providing the best complement to golden or peachy complexions. The square frame adds character without sacrificing freshness.

Why it works: Havana is by definition the colour of spring. It reflects the warm brightness and naturalness of this season.

Summer

Glasses in cool, delicate hues

Soft colours and low contrast: why white is the ideal choice for the summer season

Summer has a cool undertone, soft personal colours and little contrast. Elegance is its natural hallmark, never over the top.

The choice for this season is Amatrice in Bianco: a hexagon frame with a contemporary touch, a frame that is visually light and accompanies without overwhelming. Its cool, neutral white colour reflects the delicacy of Summer without engendering aggressive contrasts.

Why it works: white, a cool neutral colour, is just perfect for Summer, enhancing without stealing the show.

Autumn

Glasses in deep, earthy colours

Burgundy red and rich shades: the best combinations for amber skin and brown or red hair

Autumn loves full, earthy, deep colours. With a warm, intense undertone, it works beautifully with rich shades that have their roots in the earth and nature.

This is where Licata in Bordeaux takes the stage: a cat-eye frame with a bold character, featuring one of the deepest and most embracing colours of the new collection. With its warm, dark and sophisticated hues, burgundy naturally complements amber skin tones, brown or red hair, and honey or moss green eyes.

Why it works: burgundy is the autumn shade par excellence. It is intense enough to enhance depth without dulling it.

Winter

Glasses with sharp, bold contrasts

Because black is the only colour that winter wears with the utmost naturalness

Winter is cold, high-contrast, magnetic. It calls for sharp, bold colours that stand up to its presence without fading.

The choice for this season is Ostuni in Black: a butterfly frame with a strong and recognisable design. Black is the quintessential winter colour: pure, definitive, elegant. It supports the natural contrast of the season without ever sacrificing balance.

Because black is the only neutral colour that winter wears with absolute ease.

The right glasses don’t follow trends. They follow you

Using colour analysis as a style tool, not as a rule

Colour analysis is not a rigid rule: it is a tool. It helps you understand why certain colours make you feel immediately at ease and why others, though beautiful, seem like they don’t belong to you.

Our new collection has been developed with this concept in mind: not just design, not just craftsmanship, but a conversation with the wearer.
